My Story

I am a go-getting lawyer, a wife and mother and I usually have it all together, but my house is a mess.

Growing up, I traded time between my Cali mom and my Texas dad. Fort Worth is now home for me, my husband and our two boys, just 15 months apart. My dad says I would argue with God at the gates of heaven and my husband says he doesn’t even try to have the tiger by the tail. My favorite book right now is Critical Conversations by Patterson, Grenny , McMillan and Switzler.

I try to teach my boys to love the outdoors and books and how to love deeply. They can’t talk yet so I don’t know what they would say about me but I imagine it will be that I am crazy and tough. As a parent, I worry about how the heck I will pay for college!

I care a lot about education and homeless animals in Fort Worth. I am the Presdent of the non-profit, Lola (www.lolafoundation.org) which raises money for local homeless and sick animals and I support Catholic Charities and the Multicultural Alliance. I have a horse I never ride because it seems like I am always pregnant but I love her and everything about the human-horse relationship.
